2 Convincing Reasons Why You Should Use A Wedding Planner For Your Wedding

Getting married is often a very exciting thing for all the parties involved. Though it usually costs a lot of money these days, the excitement leading up to the event is usually high, and most people are often happy being able to host a wedding that is successful.

However, one thing that you may need to contend with when you are trying to have such a wedding is how to arrange it. There are many things that often have to be thought about, and it is often a good idea to make sure that you go through them in order to have a successful one. In many cases, the sheer number of things that one has to think of leads to a lot of stress on the part of the people planning the wedding. This usually occurs even when you delegate some of the duties to some of your friends and relatives.

One way of avoiding such issues is by making use of a wedding planner. There are many companies that offer such services these days, and you can use one of them to make the process of planning a wedding much easier. In most cases, people think that paying for such services is a waste of money since the wedding planners essentially do what you can, but then charge you for it. However, there are many compelling reasons why you should consider getting one of these to plan your wedding. Some of the reasons why this may be a good idea include:

• You are bound to benefit from professionalism. Most of the wedding planners have been doing this kind of thing for a long time, and this means that they are more than skilled at it. The fact that they have a lot of experience means that they are more likely to know of the things that typically go wrong during such events, and they can then avoid them. This means that you are going to have a wedding that is more of a success.

• They may also make the wedding much cheaper for you. Though you usually have to pay them to offer such services, there are many things that they can do which will result in less cost for you overall. For instance, some wedding planners have links with other wedding contractors such as car hire companies. This means that when you use them for the wedding planning, you can benefit from lower rates from some of these services, which in turn means that you will end up saving a lot in the long run. In addition to that, the fact that most of them are usually in business for a very long time means that they can identify the people who are most effective at providing wedding related services. This means that you would not waste time paying for people who are not good at such work.

These are just two of the many benefits of using a wedding contractor for your wedding. The next time you are planning one of these, always try to find a high quality wedding planner near you and ask them to provide these services. It is something that you are unlikely to regret!

Wedding Music - Should Your Wedding Program List Out Your Music?

When you are busy making arrangements for your wedding you'll have lots of important decisions to make. You'll need to get a lot of printing done in connection with your big day; wedding invitation cards, thank you cards, place cards, programs and the like. When it comes to the program you'll need to decide whether you should list out your wedding music on it as well.

Your wedding music is a very important part of the event. It is a mistake to think that you only need it to fill out the empty spaces from time to time. The right kind of music will entertain your guests beautifully and it will also help you express your personality and interests.

If you have taken a lot of trouble to organize the music and other entertainment for your big day then it wouldn't hurt to list it out on your program. If your music is well-selected then many of your guests would undoubtedly want to know what is being played. You will also be saving your wedding program as a keepsake of this important day. If it has the music listed then your keepsake will be complete.

Needless to say, it is not a particularly good idea to print out the music if you are having a very simple or casual ceremony. Keep in mind that this will also increase your printing costs. Go ahead and get an elaborate program printed only if yours is a very formal or elaborate wedding.

There are a few things to keep in mind when getting your wedding music printed out:

1. Finalize things well in advance and try not to make any last minute changes. It is never a good idea to leave print jobs to the last minute.

2. Give credit to the composers and songwriters who created the music as well as the musicians who will be performing it.

3. Check for spelling errors

4. Include the lyrics of hymns if you think that guests will sing along with it. Many weddings are religious rather than merely social events and people generally join in to sing the hymns.

You should also share the program with the wedding band so that there is no confusion about what music is to be played and at what time during the ceremony. A little bit of foresight regarding the wedding music and other arrangements will ensure that your big day is a truly memorable one for every person concerned.

4 Interesting Things to Consider Before Getting Wedding Flowers

Have you picked up flowers for your wedding? Have you talked to a florist who understands what you want to achieve on that special day? Choosing the best flowers for the wedding should not be taken for granted. The success of a wedding depends on how seriously you take the flower arrangement. If you are trying to avoid those mistakes that could spell a disaster at your wedding, keep on reading.

Preparation is the Key
Be organized and prepare properly. Choose your florist well ahead of schedule. The best florists get booked in advance. So, if you wait till the 11th hour before you start searching for one, you might end up disappointed. Most florists will ask to pay a small amount in advance so as to confirm you on their plans for the month. This is good as it commits them to your cause and reduces the chances of a 'no show' at your marriage.

Because of the importance flowers bring to a wedding, go for someone with a good track record. Ensure you sort out everything, including colors, flower type and quantity. Give plenty of time to your flower expert and correct any mistakes before your big day.

Do not try to cut corners and make do it with a newbie just starting out. It does not take much to show that a wedding is a dud. Just get a crappy florist.

Time is Everything
Even if your friends and family are supporting your special day by providing flowers, tell them not to get them too early. There is nothing more embarrassing than having dying flowers at a wedding. This is something you should take very seriously, if you are getting married in the summer. If your flowers have to be set up 24 hours earlier, ensure they are kept in water.

Even hydrangeas that are favorites for wedding flower bouquets need to stay in water or they would not even make it halfway into your wedding.

Another thing you can depend is on having a very good florist and make arrangements in the morning of the wedding. This is risky and takes a lot of clout to pull off. So, if you have doubts about your florist, concentrate on leaving your flowers in water overnight.

You can even afford to use a flower preservative which helps water retention and thereby reduces wilting. If the job is done properly, your flowers will stay fresh all through the day.

Careful with the Flowers
When choosing flowers, you should not only go for looks and fragrance. In fact, choosing heavily scented flowers could drive all your well-wishers over the bend, with their allergies taking centre stage instead of your marriage.

Do you know that lilies, especially Stargazers that are a top-choice at weddings can be a problem at the same time? The pollen grains can leave a nasty stain that is very hard to remove. Tell your florist to be careful with flowers that can be a nuisance. If they must be used, nip of the pollen parts of these flowers to avoid a wedding disaster. Alternatively, to avoid any disasters you can keep it simple like flowers on mothers-day.

Let Your Florist Work
It is understandable, that you want everything to be right and bright. But you cannot do everything, which is why you asked an expert for a hand. It is your wedding, but you have to give him some space to work.

You have to be flexible. No matter what you might think, a florist will do a better job than you. Getting an overall feel or look for a wedding is not easy. Give up your concept and let him do the rest. Let him justify the money that you are paying.

Wedding Photography - Should We Go Online or Offline?

Every girl dreams of her perfect wedding, and the worst thing a photographer could do is to ruin it for her with bad photographs to remember it with. If you are thinking of going into wedding photography, here are 5 tips that could help you create the picture perfect wedding memory for your clients.

Preparation is key
As the famous saying goes "If you fail to plan, you plan to fail." So many things can go wrong on D-Day itself, needless to say wedding photography, so make sure you have back up plans for virtually everything - be it wet weather, a corrupted memory card, bad lighting, insufficient batteries. If it helps, try preparing a task list of scenes and objects to take. This list is in no way supposed to be restrictive, take it as the essentials list and let your creativity flow for the rest. As a value-added measure, ask if the client has any must-have photos of their guests, and ask for their seating plans to make sure you would not miss them out.

Set expectations
The last thing you want from a job well done is a crying bride pestering you about the mismatch in expectations, so be sure to communicate what you can and will do beforehand. A good way to do so would be to show them your portfolio, showcasing your work and style, and set up a contract to put down everything agreed in print, including rates, overtime rates and rights to the photographs. To your clients, what they are purchasing is more than just the prints. They have placed their trust in you to capture the memories of possibly the most important day of their life, so be sure to set things straight from the start to avoid disagreements and disappointments.

Choose the right format for the right usage
Every self-respecting photographer ought to know the difference - the pros and cons - of shooting in RAW or JPEG, but ultimately it is up to personal preference of the photographer. Essentially, RAW files are complete lossless files straight from the camera's sensor -- it is exactly what the imaging chip has captured. What it means for the photographer is that he can manipulate the photo with no image degradation, at the maximum possible image quality.

JPEG files, on the other hand, are much smaller files that are usually ready for immediate use. So if you are intending to display some of the shots at the reception, consider taking photos in JPEG so that you can quickly display some of your best shots to show the guests what they have possibly missed in the morning. Moreover, it's good advertising for your wedding photography business if it's done right!

Expect the unexpected
Like life, expect a wedding to be full of surprises. While you should have a checklist of the bare necessities to capture, you should be flexible and adaptable when the situation arises. Do what you have to do, vary your perspectives, crawl if you need to - be creative when it comes to wedding photography. Leave the deleting when you are sifting through the images at the end of the night, you never know what gems you might be missing in the haste of the moment. Best yet, shoot on continuous shooting mode, because you'll never see that picture perfect stolen kiss photo op coming. Attending the rehearsal would be a good opportunity for you to find out and plan your photographic vantage points.

All that glitters is not gold, but silence is
The only thing that should be sparkling during the ceremony should be the rings exchanged. Ideally, there should be no flash photography during the ceremony, from the time the bride walks up the aisle till the end of the ceremony when the couple walks down the aisle together. Random flashes going on and off during the ceremony can affect the atmosphere. Also, the beeps and camera shutter sounds can also prove distracting, so be silent when the situation requires you to.

Wedding photography is widely known to be strenuous and stressful, but don't let these words daunt you if it is truly what you are interested in. Take a deep breath, pick up your camera, and have fun at your first wedding! After all, the only way to go from here is up.

Wedding Dress Necklines

Choosing the dress for your wedding day is likely to be the biggest decision regarding an item of clothing you will ever make in your life and with so many wedding dresses out there to choose from it can be somewhat overwhelming too. An array of colours, shapes and styles are available to the brides of today with one particular type of look chosen by many of late. The strapless wedding dress has featured on many catwalks and in turn on to the High Street where many ladies have decided to wear this look for their special day. However it's time for strapless dresses to move over and make way for some refreshing new necklines.

From straps, sleeves and asymmetrical styles, each part of your dress is an important feature. The neckline has the ability to transform your overall look and brings the eye up towards your face. Here we describe the differing options of necklines.

Strapless - A common neckline chosen by many brides, this gown has no straps or sleeves. Many top heavy brides may feel self conscious and avoid trying on these types of wedding dresses, however in the right underwear and particularly in corset or lace back dresses you will be quite amazed at the lift and support they create.

Halter - Great for small or medium busted brides and especially athletic brides, this gown has two straps that fasten behind the neck.

Sweetheart - This popular design is the same shape as the top of a heart. It suits many body shapes and enhances the cleavage.

V-neck - This neckline is often with straps be it wide or slim and dips down into a point which can be as wide or as narrow as you desire. Whilst elongating the neckline it also creates an illusion of a smaller bust.

Asymmetrical - A contemporary and fashionable look at the moment that has been seen on many of the designers collections. It features a one shoulder strap or detailing.

Bateau - A good choice for narrow shoulders and smaller bustlines this wide necked shape follows the curve of your collarbone, usually to the edge of the shoulders.

Cowl neck - Seen on many column wedding dresses this loosely draped fabric neckline is great on tall brides. You choose how high or, if you want to flaunt a bit of skin, how low you want the neckline to sit.

Jewel - A style chosen at several celebrity weddings this high neck wedding dress sits high on the top of your collarbone. It can give an illusion of a larger bust.

High Collar - This sit high up covering the neck with a band like collar, it is also known as a Mandarin.

Scoop neck - Often called a Ballerina shape this is a round necked wedding dress that is a U like shape and is flattering on virtually all brides.

Square neck - Fancy showing off your well blessed bust? This neckline is cut straight across the front and is a very flattering shape on larger busted brides.

Off the Shoulder - Popular in the 90's wedding era this neckline is great for creating an even silhouette - ideal for those ladies that are a pear shape. It sits just off the shoulders with a short cap-like sleeve that covers a small part of the arm.

Spaghetti Straps - Ideal if you are looking for a more casual wedding dress style, these gowns feature very thin shoulder straps.
